The Sosna-1 well in Aurelian’s Torzym block, located in Poland’s central lowlands, did not flow when first perforated – a factor the company said may be due to the reservoir being at a lower pressure than that exerted by the brine column on the reservoir.
After releasing the rig on 4 July, Aurelian would now carry out additional analysis of the well while considering testing options, including mobilisation of coiled tubing for nitrogen unloading of the well.
