With its recently contracted second rig, AusTex hopes to drill two new wells per month on the project, at a cost of $650,000 each.
The company has started drilling the first production well on the project’s Blubaugh prospect, expecting to hit the interval as drilling to reach a total depth of 4790 feet continues over the next 10 days.
The Blubaugh 20-1 well is about 80 feet from the recently completed Blubaugh 20D-1 Disposal Well, which will be able to dispose of fluid from 10 or more vertical wells and several horizontal wells.
