According to energy consultancy company EnergyQuest, Australia’s LNG production increased by 53.2%, quarter-on-quarter, to 10.1 million tonnes in the March quarter.
This was driven by the ramp-up of production from the Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG) and Gladstone LNG (GLNG) projects in Queensland and the start up of the Gorgon LNG project in Western Australia.
The increase in production helped offset a 36% quarter-on-quarter fall in LNG export prices, with Australia’s LNG export revenue only slightly down from the first quarter of 2015, totalling A$4.5
