The Oklahoma City Police Department concluded its investigation into McClendon’s death and said all the evidence it was able to find points to a routine car crash.
“An accident and homicide investigation were both conducted by our department into Mr McClendon’s death,” police department spokesman Paco Balderrama said via email. “Our investigators found no information or evidence which would compel us to believe this was anything other than a vehicular accident.”
