The Australian operator perforated a 15-metre interval, between 3333 and 3348 metres, in the Kingia formation and flowed gas at a rate of 25.7 million cubic feet per day over a one-hour period following an initial clean-up period.

“This is clearly an outstanding result. Both reservoir intervals tested in Waitsia-1 have each flowed at 25 MMcfd, constrained by tubing size, giving us a combined flow rate greater than 50 MMcfd,” AWE managing director Bruce Clement said.
