The company recently booked a reserve increase across its Perth basin fields, with the the total gross proven and probable reserves plus contingent resources for the Waitsia, Senecio, Irwin and Synaphea finds estimated at 721 billion cubic feet of gas.
“We've certainly got a strategy to build a material domestic gas business out of the Perth basin,” AWE's general manager exploration and geoscience, Neil Tupper, told delegates at the Good Oil Conference in Fremantle.
