Tuesday’s announcement confirmed earlier reports this week by Upstream AziPac had been handed a four-year extension to the PSC from the Indonesian government, effective from 18 May this year.
AziPac said the extension would give it more time to evaluate the block, with the company already planning a 300 square kilometre 3D shoot later this year and it expects to spud an exploration well late next year.
