Beach will appoint Matthew Kay as its new chief executive from 17 July this year and will be paid a fixed renumeration of A$900,000 (US$629,595) per annum while his contract will also include long-term incentives.
Kay is currently the executive general manager for strategy and commercial at fellow Australia-listed company Oil Search.
He joined Oil Search in 2014 following 12 years at Australian giant Woodside, while his 25 years' of experience has also seen him work at Santos.
