Joint venture partner Rawson Resources revealed gas production from the field in PRL 26 had commenced with the Uchada-1 tied back to the Udacha gas field in Middleton production facility.
It said initial production was expected to stabilise at 1 million cubic feet per day and increase to 1.6 MMcfd once compression was available at Middleton in early 2017.
Rawson also noted the start up of Udacha was a significant milestone for the company, representing its first production and providing a revenue stream for the Australia-listed company.
