Joint venture partner Cooper Energy on Tuesday said the Butlers-8 oil well, which was drilled to a total depth of 1650 metres in permit PEL 92, hit six metres of net oil pay in the Namur sandstone reservoir.
The probe will now be cased and suspended for completion as an oil producer, Cooper said. It will be connected to the existing Butlers production facilities.
