BG Group's Australian subsidiary said it has approved a A$1.7 billion investment in an onshore upstream gas development related to the Queensland Curtis liquefied natural gas project.
The Charlie project involves the construction of 300 to 400 wells, a large field compression station and associated pipelines and facilities that will feed into existing gas processing and water infrastructure at Woleebee Creek.
