Canadian junior BlackPearl Resources has sanctioned the second phase of its Onion Lake thermal heavy oil operation in Saskatchewan and started construction on what it calls a "cornerstone" project for the company.
The company's board opted to move ahead with development of the 6000-barrel-per-day expansion and the company said it has entered into a fixed price agreement to fabricate the central processing facilities and pad facilities for phase two.
