Blue Ocean president Yuanhui Sun, speaking to the press at OTC in Houston, declined to reveal the value of the contract. However, he did confirm that the first two units will be for GustoMSC CJ46 design jack-ups, capable of operating in 375 feet of water.
Steel will be cut at SWS in China later this week on the first jack-up, and rig deliveries are slated for the second and fourth quarters of 2016, respectively.
