Bond said it had halted helicopter traffic to offshore installations "for safety reasons", after the RMT union called for all the company's helicopters operating in the North Sea to be grounded pending the outcome of an investigation into why the EC225 helicopter Super Puma ditched into the water off Aberdeen.
The demand from RMT comes as it and the Unite union claimed that two other Bond-operated EC225 aircraft suffered engine problems in April.
