Planning Minister Romero Juca, a close aide of interim President Michel Temer, has gone on leave following the leaked conversation with former Transpetro boss Sergio Machado, which suspended President Dilma Rousseff has flagged as evidence of a politically motivated impeachment process against her.
In the conversation leaked to Brazilian newspaper Folho de Sao Paulo, Juca is heard saying to Machado – both of whom have been implicated in the massive Car Wash probe into historical corruption at the state oil company - “We have to stop this shit … We have to change the government to be able to stop this bleeding.”
