Buru revealed, that as of Thursday, the Senagi-1 well was at a depth of 904 metres and had encountered the top of the Laurel formation carbonate section at 829 metres.
A thin interval with vugular porosity and oil shows had been observed in core, however Buru said the shows were interpreted to only be residual.
It is now continuing coring to the deeper Nullara formation objective which had well developed porosity in the adjacent Camelgooda-1 mineral exploration well which was drilled by Placer Exploration in 1989.
