The company wrapped up a wireline logging and pressure testing programme on the well but revealed Monday that while the quality of the wireline logs was “excellent”, it was unable to get definitive pressure data primarily due to the vugular nature of the dolomite reservoir.
It added the logs showed the upper 15 metres of the reservoir zone to be oil saturated, while the potential oil column in the well was interpreted to be roughly 41 metres, with further potential pay in a lower zone that Buru said also had significant vugular and fracture development.
