Houston-based Cabot reached an agreement with Invenergy to supply all of the natural gas needed for the proposed Lackawanna Energy Center power plant in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.
The 1500-megawatt power plant will burn up to 240 million cubic feet of natural gas per day by year-end 2018.
The gas purchases are being arranged by South Jersey Industries, which has a fuel supply management contract with the facility.
