The company has invited expressions of interest from contractors for a host of requirements for services in Blocks CB-OS/2 off the west coast plus the Ravva, KG-OSN-2009/3 and PR-OSN-2004/1 assets off the east coast.
Three jack-up drilling rigs are on Cairn's wishlist - one for Block CB-OS/2, and two for the east coast operations.
In CB-OS/2, which contains the producing Cambay asset, the rig should be capable of working in water depths up to 50 metres, and be rated for drilling to depths of between 16,000 feet and 20,000 feet.
