The asset package includes 5667 net acres (6916 gross) mostly in Howard County in the north-east portion of the Midland basin, much of it offsetting Callon’s existing position in the basin.
The position could host about 167 future drilling locations and has an estimated 12.2 million boepd (86% oil) of net proved reserves, Callon said.
In addition, Callon gains control of 16 vertical and nine horizontal wells producing about 2300 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
