Canyon, a unit of Houston-based services group Helix Energy, provides seabed preparation and trenching equipment including a newbuild multi-purpose vessel, a purpose-built mechanical cutting trencher, a jet trencher and two Triton XLS work class remotely operated vehicles.
Canyon said its i-Trencher trencher had been commissioned with input from Subsea 7 on its design and capabilities. The subsea plough is able to pre-trench, trench and backfill for umbilicals and pipelines up to 18 inches in diameter.
