To date the well had revealed a continuous oil column of 171 metres in reservoirs in the ultradeep waters of the Santos basin pre-salt region, Petrobras said.
New oil samples of about 32 degrees API collected from reservoirs located at depths of up to 5910 metres also confirmed the continuity of the discovery in block BM-S-8, 232 kilometres off the coast of the state of Sao Paulo.
