Houston-based private equity firm Carnelian Energy Capital Management has invested in a start-up exploration company made up of former executives of shale player Memorial Resource Development.
Grit Oil & Gas Partners, which is also based in Houston, was formed to pursue an acquisition and exploitation strategy in select onshore basins in North America, with an initial emphasis on the Ark-La-Tex region.
