Phase D of the scheme, which has started up three months ahead of schedule, is set to deliver about 40,000 barrels per day when producing at full capacity within six to nine months, bringing total production capacity up to 98,000 bpd at Christina Lake.
Cenovus, which jointly owns the project with ConocoPhillips, aims to boost total production capacity to about 300,000 bpd through further expansion and optimisation of output.
