Coastal, an exploration and production company focused on Thailand and Malaysia, said on Tuesday it had entered into a definitive merger agreement which would see Cepsa acquire all of its issued and outstanding shares for a cash price of C$19 per common share.
This announcement confirms a report by Upstream in September that Coastal was the potential target of a takeover bid by Cepsa and investment firm Strategic Resources Global (SRG).
