SBM Offshore sees a “maximum” of seven oil floating production, storage and offloading unit contract awards being made in the industry this year, with a similar picture expected in 2018.

The Dutch floater giant, which on Wednesday posted a full-year profit despite a revenue drop, is slightly more positive on its market outlook than it was in the middle of last year, but said it is “uniquely positioned” to clinch offshore floater contracts that are expected to arise.
