The train achieved first LNG on 28 July, Cheniere chief executive Jack Fusco said during the company's earnings call.
"Commissioning is proceeding well and we expect substantial completion this fall," he added.
In addition, Cheniere is already looking ahead to Train 3. The company filed a request with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission last week to introduce fuel gas to the train as "at the earliest date possible", but no later than 19 August.
