Nigerian officials made five arrests in connection with the attacks that forced Chevron to shut down its 90,000 barrels per day Okan facility in the Delta region, according to local media.
The group, called the Niger Delta Avengers, is thought to also be behind recent attacks targeting several other pipelines and refineries in the Niger Delta, including Shell's 250,000-bpd Forcados terminal and two of its local refineries.
