The pair have signed a non-binding heads of agreement which sets out the terms for Chevron to deliver 500,000 tonnes of LNG from Gorgon to China over a 10-year period.
Chevron said deliveries under the agreement, once finalised, are expected to start either in 2018 or the first half of 2019.
