Chevron is aiming to make savings of $500 million in Thailand this year to weather the global energy price slump, Reuters reported.
"The cuts will help the company to continue operations in Thailand," Chevron Thailand exploration & production president Pairoj Kaweeyanun reportedly said.
The cuts will be in addition to the lay off earlier this year of around 100 staff, mostly expatriates, Pairoj said.
