Chandra Brown, the deputy assistant secretary for manufacturing of the International Trade Administration of the US Department of Commerce, told delegates at the Offshore Technology Conference in Houston on Wednesday that China has an ambitious plan to develop its gas assets, in particular shale gas.
China's government aims to supply enough natural gas to account for 10% of its energy demand by 2020.
