The newly formed outfit, to be named Emas Chiyoda Subsea, will target complex offshore engineering, procurement, construction and installation work using EMAS’ construction vessels, including Lewek Constellation.
Emas, a subsidiary of Singapore-based Ezra Holdings, said in a statement the tie-up will enable it “to expand its subsea-to-surface offering and provide more value to clients and partners”.
The combination is also likely to enable both contractors to cut costs to become more competitive in a tough offshore market with a dearth of field development work.
