The company, which was formerly known as Leighton Holdings, revealed Tuesday it had been handed a contract to deliver gas field development works for the project in the Surat basin.
CIMIC expects to deliver roughly 200 wells per year under the two-year contract, generating an estimated A$300 million (US$209.3 million) for the company. The award also carries an option for a two-year extension.
