The KSR-12 discovery exploration well found a significant gas discovery, with shows observed during wireline logging.
Gas shows were found at two different levels within the Hoot sands objective.
Circle found 19.5 metres of pay in the main target Intra Hoot sands, and one metre in the Upper Hoot, which was greater than pre-drill expectations.
The company said the pressure testing in these two targets was not connected to the Hoot sands in nearby wells.
