PSC partner Lion Energy revealed Tuesday drilling had started on the Oseil-22 development well which will target the Manusela limestone reservoir.
The aim of the well is to drain the north-east flank of the four-way dip closure of the Oseil-2 fault block with estimated recoverable oil reserves of 590,000 barrels.
Lion said Oseil-22 was expected to add roughly 500 barrels per day of production from the oilfield, which currently averages roughly 4100 bpd.
