Engineering company Civmec has landed two contracts to provide refractory services on liquefied natural gas projects in Australia.
The first contract was awarded by a joint venture of Sydney-based UGL Resources and London-listed Kentz which will see Civmec send a project team to Darwin, in the Northern Territory, to provide refractory installation services on Inpex's Ichthys LNG project.
The scope of the contract covers the installation of high-alumina refractory bricks and monolithics, as well as thermal dryout.
The second contract will see Civmec carry out refractory installation work on Chevron's Gorgon LNG project in Western Australia.
The company did not state the value of the two contracts.
