Clough said in a statement on Monday that the work was associated with PNG LNG’s upstream contract but did not provide any further details. The company did not immediately respond to Upstream’s request for comment.
The PNG LNG project is operated by ExxonMobil subsidiary Esso Highlands, in joint venture with Oil Search, National Petroleum Company PNG, Santos, JX Nippon Oil & Gas Exploration, Mineral Resources Development Company, and Petromin PNG Holdings.
