The Hong Kong-listed branch of China National Offshore Oil Corporation said that the upgrade project is fully on stream and is set to hit its designed peak production rate of around 36,000 barrels per day this year.
The oilfield is located in the north-central Bohai Bay in 20 metres of water.
Under the adjustment project CNOOC Ltd installed four new platforms and 99 producing wells.
