SeaMetric said CNOOC had chose the TML as preferred heavy lift equipment under the five-year plan.
The company said it was now working with CNOOC unit China Offshore Oil Exploration Company to form a joint operating company for the first TML project, due for deliver in the fourth quarter of 2009.
SeaMetric said the joint venture would be established by December this year, but that the companies were already working together on engineering and planning work for a majore marine heavylift project off China.
