Block 05/31 covers a total area of 270 square kilometres and lies in the junction of Qikou Sag and Nanpu Sag in the West of Bohai. It has water depths ranging from five to 15 metres.
Under the terms of the PSC, Smart Oil is expected to fully fund activities during the exploration period, which will consist of a 3D seismic survey and the drilling of exploration wells.
