The Houston-based player is currently finishing operations at its Goodfellow sidetrack well, with no hydrocarbons expected to be found.
This follows adry hole at the Goodfellow wildcat itself, with the two failures leading to a $149.9 million dry hole impairment in the second quarter – and more to come as a result of the sidetrack in the third quarter.
Once the sidetrack is complete, the well will move on to drill the North Platte 4 appraisal well on its operated North Platte field.
