The Houston-based independent has made the find at the Gonfinho-1 wildcat in Block 20 in the Kwanza basin, it revealed in a conference call to discuss its second-quarter results, as well as operations off West Africa and in the US Gulf of Mexico.
The find is in the southern part of the block and is on trend with the previous Cameia pre-salt discovery, president of exploration Jim Farnsworth said.
