Petrobras will spud the Orca wildcat in the Tayrona block later this month, using the Diamond Offshore drillship Ocean Clipper, which was brought in from Brazil. The wildcat will follow up an earlier probe on the block, in 2007, where results were inconclusive.
US independent Anadarko's hopes of finding hydrocarbons in Colombia will also take a step forward in November, when the drillship Dolphin Bolette is due to arrive in country, according to Tim Tirlia, Anadarko's international drilling manager.
