The London-listed company said the trio’s KazakOil Aktobe venture has agreed commercial terms for the supply of gas with a draft contract being considered by shareholder boards of each company.

CompactGTL chief executive Edmund Buckley called the agreement is “a key step towards the commercialisation of this groundbreaking project” and said it showed the industry’s confidence in its technology.

The Abingdon, England-based company secured a $50 million investment last summer for the plant, which is to be located in the Aktobe region of Kazakhstan.
