The additional wells and infrastructure will bring CD5, which began producing last year, to its full design and permit capacity.
Work on the project will begin this year, with first oil from this phase of drilling expected in the third quarter of 2017.
The CD5 pad is designed to accommodate 33 wells, and the original development funding was for 15 wells. So far, 10 wells have been completed, ConocoPhillips said.
