There has been indecision by operator Petronas over the Bokor development concept and the project contracting strategy, but now there is clarity on both, said sources.
The development concept will involve a central processing platform and one wellhead platform.
Previous versions included a CPP with multiple wellhead platforms, and a project without a CPP.
Sources confirmed there are two Malaysian companies vying for the bigger platform — Malaysia Marine & Heavy Engineering (MMHE) and SapuraKencana Petroleum — and up to eight fabricators are able to compete for the small fixed platform.
