Cooper revealed on Monday a heads of agreement had been signed with glass container manufacturer O-I Australia which sets out the key terms for the sale of gas from the Sole field.
Under the agreement, Cooper will supply O-I with one petajoule of gas per annum for the lesser of eight years or the life of the field.
Cooper said the amount represented roughly 8% of its share of production from the field in which it holds a 50:50 stake with fellow Australian company Santos.
