The company said on Friday it had secured a contract valued at more than $180 million to build a jack-up drilling rig for an unnamed Asian company. The rig will be constructed at Cosco’s Dalian shipyard in China and is scheduled for delivery in the third quarter of 2015.
Cosco also announced a second contract to convert a semi-completed hull to a high-end floating accommodation unit at its shipyard in Nantong, China.
