According to Rosneft, the rig is set to drill two exploration wells for Magadanmorneftegaz and Lisyanskmorneftegaz in the Okhotsk Sea in the far east of the country, one on the Magadan 1 block and the other one on the Lisyansky block, during the summer navigation season.
Rosneft said that both probes will be spudded under its joint partnership agreement with Norway’s Statoil, which was signed in 2012.
