Under the contract, COSL will drill two wells for Primeline on Block 33/07, with the first to be the LS23-1-1 well which is scheduled to be spudded in mid-September using the drilling rig HYSY941.
The location of the second well will depend on the results of LS23-1-1, but Primeline said it expected it to be either LS23-2-1 or LS30-3-1.
The contract carries an option for Primeline to suspend the drilling operations after the first well to give it time to carry out any necessary studies before drilling the second to ensure it drills the well in an optimal location.
